Maps and zones: what opens what

There are four maps, and they open one at a time. Inside each map, new zones open as you clean the ones you can already reach.

That is how the game tells you a door belongs to a later zone. Nothing is broken. Keep cleaning what you can reach and it will open. JaySoul, 0:36

Cleaning zones raises your cash boost

Every zone you finish pushes your cash boost up, so leaves sell for more as the run goes on. By the time the Basement is done, two different players both saw “Cash boost is now +110%”. ViewSIM, 15:25 Gamer Chad, 2:06

Difficulty: time limit and gems

You pick a difficulty before each run. It sets the timer in the bottom right of the screen and how many gems you earn. These two show up clearly in players’ videos; there are others in between.
